01-04: The early drawing assignments focused on hand drawing and perspective techniques. The sequence of initial compositions includes:

1. Parallel Projection / Cones & Ellipses
2. Sequences & Volume Rotations / Sciagraphy
3. Brook Taylor, Piero della Francesca & Hyperparaboloids
4. The [John] Soane Section

I emphasized the projection lines that create simple shapes in each of these investigations. This aimed to bring greater attention to the complexities of basic forms and the typically unseen movement between shapes. My interpretation of the John Soane House plan and section bridges the analog and digital aspects of the course.

05-07: Mimaki* drawings were done with work developed for my advanced studio project, Mandalalith. The compositions became a solo exploration into the physicality and character of machine drawing. This encouraged a real-time progression of the inherent mechanical nature of the evolving studio project.
